Vol.1 // São Paulo
Been dreaming of Brasil of my heart in many bath sessions accompanied by sweet Bossa Nova... Here, grateful that the sun has risen for the second time that day, as I arrived to São.
Sharing the Auriverde (Golden Green) energy of 41 million has been an exciting calling that I was blessed to follow.
As I travelled 8975.31 km's away from my harbour, I thought I was very far, yet the first meal by Cafe Habitiual that welcomed me has been:
One cannot escape themselves even when they go so far #ShakshukaWisdom
I was there to taste Brasil tho, so I went for Pão de Queijo this time (Cheese balls?!)
Here is to skyscrapers and helicopter pads where the majority starves,
In the heart of green and concrete, yet saluting us with #SomosTodosUm (We are all One).
Just when the Oneness was in my mind. #AsWithinSoWithout
The entire tree exists within the Seed.
Committed to walking-the-talk, I entered Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, the oldest art museum established in 1905, refreshed by the trees on my way.
Let me share some of the moments that reached my heart; in the form of different colours, emotions and even timeframes.
Zapatistas (Indigenous & militant group in Chiapas, Mexico) of San Cristóbal de las Casas greet me with 'Isso quiero boca veneno eu seja a que não fumando eu você'
Then the art declares 'Em 2040, legalizamos o Amor e outras drogas menos intensas' (In 2040, we legalise Love and other less intense drugs.).
We cannot wait a second longer, love is now.
Exactly then I see a Siren with her colour palette, Hello Sailors!
A siren who is deeply connected to Higher Self, também! (as well).
A praying Rabbi, who also needed to connect.
Connect with us! Dissolve the ego, closely observe its pieces and never miss the details; for the Whole Picture is made of each colour.
Do not be shocked when you see violence in its essence. #HumanAfterAll
Life imitates Art,
...and I try my best to sit down, humble.
Saved the sweetest for the last; Yo quiero ver la mariposa' suelta! (Rosalia,2022). (I want to see butterflies, wide open!)
Rosalia adds as my heart nods; 'Mariposas sueltas por la calle; para verla' tienes que salir.' (Butterflies are wide open in the streets; to see them, you need to come out).
Another one who has realised already,
...Que aquí el mejor artista es Dios. (The only artist here is G-d).
So I come out in São streets, for meeting the butterflies
What do you see in the picture? Chaos? Colours?
Depends on your perspective.
Mercado Municipal de São Paulo hides itself;
and its mostly eggplant based gems
One quick note, a vegetarian hero's journey can be challenging in São, but smooth seas never made a skilled sailor.
Shall we play 'what do you see?' game otra vez? (Another round?)
Here, I cannot ignore 'Cerca Electrica', the electric fence that keeps the starving off from Jardim houses.
But I thrive in Jardim and Mercado, as well!
The infamous wealth gap is very true, yet Paulistanos are so vibrant and live in multicolour that we vibed in all districts.
Life blooms everywhere, read the world like a book and you'll see.
Imagine 164.45 hectares of pure green as I ride
Ethereal, as the sun goes down with each pedal...
I believe the tree is hugging me back. Look at its fringes! Happy in a country that is named after a tree! (Pau Brasil) Wild, combined with free so freshly:
Bossa nova playing bike, riding through the ethereal sunset; I dreamt it but could not visualise the layers of sunset as smoothly, graças a Deus! (Hallelujah).
...And it is gone. Not a single sunset wasted!
Notice the Sao silhuitte looking like a heartbeat:
The darkness falls as I sing 'Mas alguma coisa acontece, no quando agora em mim; Cantando eu mando a tristeza embora'* along with Gilberto (João Gilberto, Deus o abençoe)
Or with Cardellino, and his pai (daddy!)
*0:46-58: 'But something happens, in the now and within me; I sing and turn the sadness away'
...Night & Day
A new day in the Hood #Brooklin!
Such amazing coffee and Açaí na tigela give me goosebumps and + I have proof above
Work & Play with bada$$ Brasil meu!
Brasil, you are a natural!
Yin & Yang, all that.
And when you feel the pain (of others) from distance amongst all these colours;
Then the butterflies wide open! Remember what I said, I want to see butterflies wide open!
And Rosalia told you what to do; to see them, you need to come out.
Come out; see that you are the hand that stabs and the heart that bleeds as well.
OK, a quick café break from philosophy
Que fofinho! (Cuties)
Colours and sunshine, in my element Na moral? (For real?!)
Big shoutout to Mise, the best fashion Brasileira that ruined my account in the most elegant way and Backyard; a cool urban fashion and coffee house!
So happy ruining accounts!
A bit of Vila Madalena colours...
and some stuff that always finds me as I wander...
Flow is what finds you as you wander, so I am learning to cherish them.
And do not let it pass you by, as I asked the cute shop owner what was the song they played (and as she simply searched for 'samba')
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOIx8p9hbN8
Ironically, the song talks about a love that passed by. Sounded happy right? Listen to the 'happy' stories carefully.
Looking in the mirror very honestly here!
My two cents to lift your spirit when the mirror overwhelms you (promise me you'll return to the mirror!)
And I'll be there!
Last best avo in Sao, ready for soothing the wide-open heart in Rio,
Sky imitates heart's layers
I know it can be intense at times.
Experience as it is worth it
And follow me to Rio through Amazônia...
